Rain Dance

We need rain.  We are dying here.  We are in one of the worst droughts for the state since 1865.  Yikes.

And today?  We're predicted to hit 108.  Uh huh.

What am I dreaming of?  R.A.I.N.
 we saw rain this summer.
 but not here.
we hadn't seen it for so long, that the kids went crazy out in it.
 and this mom let them.
they went crazy.  as if they had never seen rain before.

funny how a little bit of water falling from the sky can make you nutzo.

i'm ready for a little crazy.

Come to Oregon...after a few months your kids will be irritated with the rain. :)

That looks like fun!

The year we moved from Utah to Oregon, it rained a lot! People were complaining about it all the time! But my favorite memory was when all the boys were sleeping, Zo was awake, I was 8 months pregnant, my hubby, Zo and I ran outside and played in the rain! It was a down pour and great! Then the thunder started and we ran inside!

It's hard to imagine that you need rain and the East coast in bombarded because the hurricane. I hope you all get some relief very soon. Keep drinking lots of water!

Ha! I have to agree with Mimi ;) Your reaction to rain is like ours to sun. We never see it, so when we do, we're not sure what to do with ourselves! :)

Becca, y'all have had a terrible time this summer! We have had tons of rain here in Central Alabama until about two weeks ago. We need rain now, too. I hope the drought ends soon, and I will pray that y'all will get some rain!

As long as there's no lightning I say let them run and have fun in it.

We swim, ride our bikes, walk and play softball right through our Florida showers but since we're in the lightning capital of the WORLD, one sign of lightening and everything shuts down!

It's cute when little kids go dancing and playing in the rain, but I swear, the next time I see a downpour like that, I'll be right in the big middle of it.

I can't imagine what a 53 year old grandfather would look like playing like a 10 year old in a downpour, but you know, I don't much care anymore! I'm getting wet the next time it rains!!!!!
