Friday Confessions...

Happy Friday Y'all!  It is going to be in the 80's and sunny all weekend!! YAY!!!!!  And I have good friends coming over on Saturday night ~ hooray for good friends and time without kiddos (did I say that outloud?)!!

So on to my confessions for this week.  I am linking up with Mamarazzi & Glamazon at their weekly Friday Confessions.

Photobucket

I Confess:
That I booked our summer vacation this week! YAY!!  We are taking the kids on a Caribbean Cruise the second week of July!!!  I am super excited because I have wanted to take the kids to a beach for such a long time and now we will get to go to 4 of them- all in different countries!!!!  My confession is that I might have confused the cost when I talked to my sweet hubby about it.....he will love it and all will be ok!!

I Confess:
That I read a book this week about "raw foods" and all the benefits it can have on your body.  The book really convinced me that giving up on all processed food and (here's the big one) animal foods & bi-products can really improve your health in so many amazing ways.  It has to do with the enzymes and how your body gets so much more nutrients out of raw food versus those that are cooked or processes or full of fat.  I am super pumped about the amazing skin, luxurious hair and amazing body I will have from switching.

 I Confess:
That after a few years at home and fighting the horrible school system we are in, I am seriously thinking of homeschooling Sissy & Brody.  I am really nervous about this decision, however, I have been petitioning our local government for months to NOT cut so much money form public education funding and guess what??  They did!!  Grrrr.  So rather than see my kids suffer at the horrible decision making our elected officials make, I am going to bite the bullet and homeschool them both next year.  Yikers...I am so nervous!!

I Confess:
I struggled with how to tell everyone this last confession.  It has been killing me not to tell everyone.  So, I thought this would be a fun way.....

Come December we will have a fun little "package" to open.........

uh. huh.

wow. huh?

gotcha.

do you really think I am preggo???????  Ha! Not. at. all.  Mom, take a BIG sigh of relief.

APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!

As much as I would love to go on a cruise...it would never be with the kids...until they are much older.

Give up meat?  What planet do you live on?  NEVER!!

Homeschooling?? HAHAHAHA!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE our school and our teachers and that is why I have been fighting with our local state representatives for the past few months (they are voting on HB1 today and it looks to cut @$7 Billion from public ed funding.  :( )  If there is one thing you should know about me- I am a firm believer of sticking to your gifts that God gave you....and patience in teaching "school stuff" to my kiddos is not one of them.

And lastly, Bubba is our baby and will always be our baby. :))

I hope everyone has a fantastic day - go pull a fast one over on someone...it is so much fun!!

That was awesome..I was so ready to comment on the processed food mention...I'd really love to do that but who can afford THAT?

Great April Fool Confession!

I had a moment there--you live in Texas and are giving up meat? Isn't that like unTexan or something--can't that get you thrown out of the state? Then all was explained. Good one there!

I was reading all of those with my had tilted, well not the cruise part I know you love to vacation with your kids, but the rest had me confused.

When I read you were going to give up meat I checked the blog to make sure I was on my meat and potato lovin' friends blog!

President of the PTA turned school teacher? Dang it must be really bad for her to do that!

I saw the fake on the baby thing, I thought it was your way of telling us there was going to be a puppy under the tree this Christmas!

You're not right!

I tried the baby things too. The one person I wanted it to work on .. it didn't. Oh well....

I homeschooled and loved it. My sister has homeschooled for years! Good luck!

You are such a stinker!!! SERIOUSLY! You had me hook line and sinker. I swear. I was just getting ready to say "WHA...you're going vegetarian or vegan or raw or whatever...and you're homeschooling? I thought you loved your kiddos school...AND you're having a baby?!" I was freaking a little.

LOL.

Good one.

I kinda forgot it was April Fools Day. Now I'm going to be paranoid. I'm so gullible.

I was so fooled. And I didn't question the baby thing because it seems like EVERYONE is having a baby right now. I couldn't give up meat either...I had the best steak just the other night! Funding is being cut in our schools too and it drives me crazy. I try and read up on it to be more involved but it upsets me too much. Thanks for the giggle :)

You totally had me! I was a little ticked at not being invited to go on the cruise...Laughed at the thought of you homeschooling. But really stopped breathing at the December package, even started counting back months. To think you would tell your mom that way!!

HA!!! I think IA just called you a bitch.
Naughty.
Seriously, I wanna go on a cruise. I'm pretty sure if I starve myself from now until July...I mean, like only water...and raw food (which I've been doing really well at, btw!) I MIGHT be able to fit into a steamer trunk. MIGHT. And then I can go with you right?

Xazmin said...

Holy CRAP! I was beginning to think I didn't know you at ALL with that whole raw foods, no animal foods business! Sheesh!

Hahaha...good one though! I think this is the first April Fool's post I read! You kill me!

I'm a few days late reading this, but as I was going through each confession, I thought, "Gosh, do I not know my friend anymore??" By the time I got to homeschooling, I scrolled up to check the date on the post, and sure enough... :-)

Happy belated April Fools Day!

Nicely done!!! I went looking for your April Fools when I saw your FB post about fooling a bunch of your family. I wasn't even sure this was it until the end because it was so convincing!!

Geez. I know you're enjoying running and all that, but I was pretty sure you couldn't have any Elvis Bark if you only ate raw food from now on. (And I also thought: Crap! What will this do to the restaurant choosing process when we're all in Austin...?)
It was the home-schooling that had me tilting my head like the RCA dog, but the baby thing... I knew. Ya big leg-puller, you!
