We had the dentist called at 7:30 and he was in by 8:30. Luckily, he just chipped them- no damage (so it appears) to the tooth itself. So we went home where he preceded to do not one but TWO more face plants this week resulting in more blood. AWK!!! How do I teach this kid to land on his hands???
We had an appointment this morning to have sealants placed on his chipped teeth to avoid any bacteria getting into the tooth and any sensitivity. We can't do anything about the shape of them until he gets older and his teeth get bigger. So for now, his teeth appropriately fit his nickname, Bubba, and we have decided he will make an adorable Dracula for Halloween!!
Ignore the mashed potatoes on his cheek and the corn in his mouth and notice the broken right tooth (his right)? Shaped like a horseshoe? His left is also chipped. Ugh...those pretty baby teeth.
So, despite the trauma of messing up his teeth and going to the dentist TWICE (I'm talking about me here), he still kept us in stitches this week. Luckily I caught him on tape for these two incidences:
HE wanted in to play with these balls so bad....
My Bubba likes to dance. Typically it's to the Wiggles, but if anything is on the tube with a good beat- he stops & dances.
two points if you can name the show....
Someday it will be a funny story and yes, the mis-shapen teeth will give him character.....I know...it hasn't stopped him, why should it stop me?

Oh OUCH. I know about boys and their teeth getting messed up. He still is adorable and yes he will make a great dracula.
Ugh, I feel your pain and it hits very close to home! My 2 year old daughter has been the pediatric dentist twice for chipped front teeth already. He has been awesome about reshaping them with composite and they look totally normal. The composite has held up very well and the first time was already a year ago when she was 15 months. He was able to fix them both times with absolutely no sedation and just me and my husband holding her strategically. I am so grateful for this dentist!
So sorry that you've had to deal with this trauma - and here's to hoping for no more injuries to Bubba's teeth!
The videos are precious! Thanks for sharing :)
Oh my...those pretty little teeth!
Give that tough little boy a hug from Illinois!
Aww poor Bubba! He still is as precious as ever!
Oh poor pumpkin :( Makenna chipped one of her front {baby} teeth a couple of months ago.
Poor Fang! :( He's still ADORABLE though, so what can you do? I'm loving the One Shoe Shuffle.
Well, you know according to me, fangs are so IN! ;) Poor little Bubba...and momma. It's traumatic when things like that happen. He's so stinkin' cute!!! I love the videos...hilarious!
Have a great weekend!
Are you sure he doesn't want to be Edward for Halloween?
Last year my boy had hit his head right before Halloween and everyone thought the stitches were fake.
oo poor little man!! I can't believe he did that :< Glad he seems to be still happy as a clam!
Poor little man, I'm glad he's OK. Both of my children had fallen and hit their mouths and I always have to be reminded about how much the mouth bleeds. He is so adorable still and I love his dance moves.
Poor guy! Maybe you should wrap him in bubble wrap!
BLESS YOUR SWEET HEART!!! All that in ONE week? Stop it. Oh my. I'm tired just thinking about it. I hope all is well so far this week: )
oh, this makes me hurt! poor bubba. I'm glad he's feeling better.
