We have hit every major milestone right on track - rolling over at 4 months, eating solids at 6 months. But there is one hurdle our Bubba can't seem to get over yet- crawling. And believe me, we are OK with that one. Having 2 older kids, we know what happens when these kiddos get mobile. He is trying so hard. He gets up on all fours. He rocks back and forth. He gets frustrated. He yelps at us. He crashes to the ground. In the meantime, he has perfected the backward schooch. Very well.
Enjoy his recent frustration as he tried to get a toy. And yes, he expressed every word, or so I interpreted.
"ok, how can I get this?"
"i got it, I just rock a little."
"nope. rocking just makes me tumble over."
"ugh. if only i could reach it."
"let's try it again."
"al-mo-st there."
"i'm gonna get it!"
"AHHH. momma can you just give me the toy!"
"fine. I'll just chew on this tag over here."

oo my goodness this cracked me up!! The words totally depicted what he was thinking love it! I love how transparent babies and toddlers can be :-)
Too cute! I love how you captured the play by play. The expression on his face when he looked at you is adorable.
I don't blame you for not wanting to rush crawling. My youngest crawled at 6 months and walked at 9...way to soon.
He is precious! Boy when they start moving they really start moving, so now I know why everyone told us to enjoy the "non-mobile" stage!!
How cute! What an adorable baby and I love your words. ha ha!!
Grandma Jan thinks he is going to be on the move very soon! And then watch out! ;-)
Oh he's adorable! I loved this age!
Your little guy is so cute. I love the photo of his frustrated face.
I hate to admit it but Trey started crawling so that he could get the dogs dog bone. I guess you could say he was picking on his brother.
Have a fabulous day!
So cute! I miss having a baby!!!
XOXO
Jen
These posts....kill me. I want another baby soooo bad!
He's doing great!
I am cracking up!!! I hope you gave him his toy, momma! One of my guys could only manage to scooch backward and he kept getting himself backed into a corner or wedged under a chair.
(How is he 8 months already!? What?!)
Oh my gosh, this is adorable! I love love LOVE this age.
These pictures ALMOST make me want another baby now.
I said almost.
Very Cute! My oldest never crawled. She would just scoot herself around on her rear end! Hello from another Texas Blogging Gal!
Hey Becca,
Ian is so cute! I can see his frustration of wanting that toy. I remember my boys doing that. Then they would work so hard trying to get it. I love the pic of hope on his face too!
Love that you captured this!
How's the Shredding going?
Oh my gosh Becca,
He's so cute...This was an adorable post, and it certainly seems like he'll be crawling really soon!
Love it!!! He'll sure be crawling in no time...and I was the same as you - in no hurry! It only means they'll be getting into more of everything!! ;)
Your blog is SOO cute!! I just found you from the Texas Blogging Gals page!
I have to give him an A for effort. He is precious. Almost there...Thank goodness for the distraction:) Cute.
