She's off! My little girl took her first step into independence today. And I haven't felt this way since leaving her for kindergarden! Morganne is off for a week at church camp (well, actually 4 days and 3 nights- we are "easing" into it). Last March, when they began advertsing camp at church, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal to let her go, but today, as the busses pulled out of the parking lot with 300+ kiddos on them, the lump in my throat told me otherwise.
Morganne is also very blessed to be attending camp with her dearest childhood friend, ChellBell. They spent this last weekend gabbing about what the cabins would look like, how many times will they get to go swimming, will they offer "cheer" as an activity.... They were adorable as they prepared for this major milestone (or atleast the momma's think so!).

awww they are going to have so much fun.. and what a better trip then to go with your best friend!
What sweet memories. I can remember what a ball I always had at camp. It is so good that she has ChellBell with her, it will help ease the home sickness if it happens (to bad that always happened with me)!
Have a great Monday!
You both are going to have a great time!
She will have a great time and you will be just fine!
:)
Oh, they are so cute! I love their little polka dotted bags. They will have a wonderful time at camp. My 10 year old is visiting her cousins in Idaho right now and I miss her so much. I think it is harder on the mamas than the kids.
XOXO

She will be back before you know it!
They are adorable! I love the polka dot bags too. They will have the best time and probably come back with some great stories. What great memories to store up. You be sure to have some fun too.
What great memories this brings back! I had many amazing times at church camp and I can't wait (well, for a bit at least) for mine to experience the same. I love each and every picture of them...their excitement just couldn't be contained which is adorable! The best is of them holding hands.
Hang in there, momma!
Such great pictures, Becca! I'm so glad they get this entire week together -- they are going to make such great memories. Thanks for dropping them off!
awwwwwweeee, I totally just teared up while reading and looking at those simply adorable pictures! Oh man, why must it be so hard on us mommas and so easy for our babies?! When Isaiah spent a few days w/ his Grammy and Papaw a month ago, it was heart-wrenching for me! He was totally fine with it and had a fantastic time. I bet she is having a ball and making memories for a lifetime!
*hugs*
Hope you're having a great week!
