These Are My Confessions.....

Whew! It's been a busy week here - and the school Spring Carnival is tonight - so I am quickly going to post this and head on up to school to schlep ice into the Cafeteria, get all messy making Cotton Candy, and count money all night.  Sounds glamorous right?  And I can't wait!!

Photobucket

So, joining up with Friday Confessionals hosted by Mamarazzi & Glamazon.  Go check out some of the great confessionals over at their blogs - Seriously, Friday has come to be one of the most entertaining bloggy days ~ Go check out what my friend MiMi did to her neighbors this week.....I promise you, you will LOL.

I Confess...
That I may or may not have been a little emotional with my sweet girl turning 10 this week.  Ok, I was - hard to imagine it has been ONLY 10 years since I was blessed with her.  So, yeah, I was a little emotional - how can you not be with posts like this and this and this. I think I'm over the tears...sniff sniff...maybe not.

I Confess...
That I put A LOT of effort into making my kiddo's birthdays special and my hubby thinks I'm crazy for it.  So what if I write "Happy 10th Birthday Sissy" all over her bathroom mirror in lipstick, hang crepe paper on her door, hang a big pink banner from the staircase, have a pile of presents waiting for her on the kitchen table, and serve her huge cinnamon rolls (her favorite) on the Red "You Are Special" Plate?  It is HER DAY!!  She was a great sport b/c in Texas, it was TAKS testing day, which meant NO campus visitors...so no lunch or school celebration on her birthday...I made up for it with a special scavenger hunt when she got home...more about that next week....

I Confess...
That I may have brought a rodent in our house.  Her name is Stella and Miss Sis said it was the "best Birthday present EVER!!!"  Take that Dad!  He was totally against getting her a hamster...and still is.  But little Stella has won our hearts...... We'll see how we feel about her in a month.
I Confess...
That i had about 16 projects going at once this week and Dad was out of town at the Master's and we managed to get them all done with little to no major meltdowns.  I mean who plans a birthday, 3 movies for Darling Memories, a book report (which we made a 4th movie for), making a stuffed animal out of paper, AND a Spring Carnival all in the same week?  Bubba may have had a little meltdown at Hobby Lobby yesterday that may have resulted in some minor "mental counting" by me...but we all survived.

Now we just have to get through today and 2 soccer games and a sleepover with 5 girls tomorrow...can Sunday get here soon enough??

With that, I leave you with my little rocker..... and yes - that's a High School Musical microphone.  He's partial to "Fabulous"
Have an awesome weekend y'all!

These are My Confessions....

Ah it's Friday!! FRIDAY!!!!  YAY!!

It's 82 and sunny and ga-or-jous!!  This, my friends is why I live in Texas!!!  But I will confess that you will hear me complain about the hot hot hot summer sometime in the near future (but that's not even an "official" confession).

mra.....

Joining Mamarazzi's & Glamazon's Friday Confessions......

I Confess
That I was totally shocked at how many of you commented on my corny dog picture from the rodeo.  It's a corny dog y'all.  Am I the only naive one out there?  Get your minds out of that gutter!

I Confess
That my son knows who Montel Williams is.  Wanna know why?  Because the boy is addicted to the Sprout channel.  And Mr. Williams likes to encourage poor moms to "get fast cash now....." with his magical cash program.  For all those high credit cards the 2 & 3 year olds are racking up.  I mean they all need to learn how to go in debt while they are a toddler, right?

Anyways, my confession is that this week has been uber busy with pta crap stuff. And it is convenient to flip the tube on and allow Barney, Thomas, and Mr. Williams to babysit.

UGH- even typing that out makes me sick.  At least I can recognize it - I know I'm in trouble when Bubba starts calling Mr. Williams "Daddy".....

I Confess
That I planned a girls weekend (which I am so excited for) on Bubba's birthday without even realizing it was his birthday.  What?  He's only turning 2!  If he was turning 10, then we'd have a problem.

Jeez, after the tv confession and this, you all think I'm a fantastic momma, huh?

Think I'm gonna change my weekend plans?

uh no.

again, he's only turning 2.

I Confess
That I am super stoked that Bubba had been learning words left & right. Blue! Plane! Cookie! Car! Poo-Poo!  What????  Yup - he loves to read The Potty Book (you know, the one with all the body parts) - his favorite part is to say "Bye Poo-Poo!!" But I regret that I forget that 22 month olds don't have a filter.  And when he waved good-bye to the 20-year old boy clerk at Target and said, "Bye-Bye Poo-Poo!", I was oh-so-proud.

I Confess
And speaking of pottys.... I am NOT trying to potty train the bubba at 22 months, however, he loves that book and now tells me when he has "poo-pooed" and pats his bottom when he has.  So the other night he says it but has no "evidence", so I stripped him down and put him on the potty - scared the crap out of him (but not literally).  Yeah, he likes to talk about it, but I have a feeling it will be slow moving (no pun intended).

So I'm going to quit while you all think so less of me and my "momma" skills.

I am looking forward to the weekend!!  The "Real Housewives of Round Rock (16 of us!!) are running in the Capitol 10K on Sunday - I am super excited ~ wait til you see pics of our awesome running shirts!!!

Have a great weekend y'all!

These are my Confessions...

Photobucket

Wow- lots of posts from me this week huh?  In between painting 2 rooms, taking care of a sick girl, learning shapes with the Bubba Boy, and trying to fit in some runs, when....when have I had anytime to write??  I don't know...but here I go again.

I have quietly been reading these Confessional posts for the past few weeks, thinking very snootily to myself- "I don't have anything to confess".......until this week......

So, here are my confessions.......

I Confess....
that I had a roller coaster of a week with tons of ups & downs and I took it out on my dear sweet blogging friends when I didn't have but 2 comments on a funny post.....

but

you guys lifted me up and put me back on earth at the same time.  I am in it (meaning the blog) for ME - no whiny about comments anymore!!

I Confess...
that the last four remaining boxes of girl scout cookies are yelling at me.

Becca......come and eat us....we taste so good.

but they really don't.  I am so over gs cookies - they have been in my house since the first week of January and I am sick of them.  Those damn thin mints don't even taste good anymore.

sick sick sick

and I have this warped sense that the faster I eat them, the quicker they will go away.

I need Matt to hide them from me....and muffle out their voices.....

I Confess...
that I am the only Gleek in the neighborhood.  When I post on The Facebook (cuz that's what big daddy Mark calls it) about the latest episode,  the comments I get back are from afar.

And when I send out the massive text to all my IRL friends to see if anyone wants to go to the Glee sing along tonight - get get nothing - weird looks - shaking heads in dismay.....

But that's ok - I found 2 friends who are kinda on the fence and are going to go with me tonight.

But I think they will think twice about that decision when I show up dressed as Emma Pillsbury.

I Confess...
that I never enter any giveaways on your blogs b/c I frankly never win.  WHOA.  Hold the cart.  I won not once

but

wait for it....

TWICE THIS WEEK!!!!!

Mammarazzi gave me a sweet necklace for St. Paddy's Day

AND

I just found out that I won a $40 gc to CSN from Miss Jennifer Katherine herself!!!

Wow - the moral of the story?

Throw yourself a pity party and see what gifts come your way!!!  Woo-Hoo!!

I Confess...
I have spent WAYYYYYYYY too much time on the computer this week - researching a girls weekend in Austin in May, searching for curtain ideas for the living room, looking at summer camp options for the kids, determining what our summer plans will be (to travel or stay home?)....

enough....

you get the picture....

that's why this post has to be short......

gotta get outside and enjoy the sunshine with the Bubba Bear

Anyone up for a run??  Gotta work off those cookies......
