WWTKW - Dinner Anyone?

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

My, I am full of pep this morning ~ I should be ~ it's already the 4th day of the LAST MONTH of school and I have our summer vacation booked (the beach for a week- YAY!!) and Bubba's birthday planned AND it's 6:45 a.m. and I have already gotten my workout in ~ whew!!

So it is Wednesday and it's is time for a fun post - Seriously Shawn, Impulsive Addict, Mamarazzi, and Janette all host We Want To Know Wednesday - I always like linking up as it gives me something fun & different to blog about.

And this week is NO exception, as our questions come from the lovely, SPUNKY Impulsive Addict:

{1} If money didn't matter, where would your perfect vacation be? Briefly describe.
My perfect vacation would be 3 months in Europe.  I want to visit every.single.country.  I want to stay as long as I want when I find a quaint town and learn the culture.  My 2 trips (France, Italy, Ireland, & England) were not enough and made me just want MORE!! Oh, and I'd take this guy along with me:
{2} What's a bad habit that you have {or had} that is/was hard to break?
Jumping to conclusions.  I have a BAD habit of getting only half of the story and assuming the worst about someone/something.  It has ruined relationships and ends up making me look like an ass.  Yeah, I'll admit it.  Instead, I am trying to "sleep on it"~ wait to react~take a deep breath~ you always seem to see things differently then.

{3} If you weren't on a diet or counting calories, what would you like to have for dinner tonight?
Are you ready for this?  When I was working, I would have meals similar to the one below 3-4 times a month and now I miss it SOOOOOOOO much:
2 lump crab cakes & 2 jumbo shrimp with cocktail & remoulade sauce
III Forks salad (baby greens, granny smith apples, candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles topped with a sweet vinaigrette)
8 oz prime filet, medium (warm pink center please)
grilled asparagus & scalloped potatoes
vanilla bean creme brulee
2 glasses of Malbac
yea, I know what I want. I seriously dream about this meal....

{4} If you had the chance to interview anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and what's one question that you would ask?
Michelangelo.  I am not really into art at all, however, I read Agony & Ecstasy (bio of him) before heading to Italy (it was an amazing book) and it opened up my eyes to his life.  When I saw David and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, I teared up.  The book deals with how his art was both agonizing to him, yet filled him with meaning.  I would ask him, "What was your inspiration for the Sistine Chapel ceiling?"  Cause just look at this majesty:

{5}Describe yourself in 6 words.
Enthusiastic
Smart
Passionate
Determined
Dorky
Loving

That's me!  Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday - thanks IA for the fun questions- now I am starving for a steak.....hmmm...Mother's Day is Sunday (hint, hint....Matt?  Are you out there?  Do you even read this anymore????)

P.S. Kudos to all those who guessed what was different in my vlog...after 3 years, I am going back to contacts.....still on the fence about them......Awesome job IA, Shawn, sarajo, MiMi, Mamarazzi,!!

To get us out of doing random chores this Wednesday morning (which I really need to clean the bathrooms), we are learning more about one another though our WWTKW party.  Here goes!

Here are some random questions from my friend Shawn....

{1} What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex? Are you an eyes or a smile person? Maybe another body part?
I always notice eyes on anyone - however, I am always looking for the smile - male or female - I am naturally a friendly person, and will always smile at you - is it so much to ask for a smile back??

{2} If a movie was being made about you who would you like to see cast to play you? And would your movie be a comedy, drama, romantic-comedy, action film or a horror movie?
Hmm..really? Do I go for the gorgeous movie star (who certainly looks like me)? Of course.  I like Renee Zellweger - she's adorable...plus a Texas Gal - bonus!
And it would definitely be a romantic comedy - my life has been great and i can't see it being portrayed as anything else.  But honestly, y'all - the movie would bore you to tears....

{3} Does your high school yearbook include a senior comment section? If so share what you said about your future goals. Have you met those goals? If you do not have a yearbook just share what your goals where when you were 18 and if you have met them. If you’re brave enough include your Senior Picture!
Wow- I just spent 15 minutes searching for my yearbook and another 30 reading it - wow - that was a walk down memory lane.
No Senior comment section, but back then I was all boy crazy and wanted to get married and have a family.  LAME.
Thank goodness that "boy" called it off soon into the fall semester at college and I got my priorities straight.

However, there is a page of Senior Superlatives where I was voted "Most Likely to Succeed" AND "Most Arrogant"?  Huh?  Apparently being the treasurer, yearbook editor, dance team, basketball, & softball, and the valedictorian made you snobby?  Shut it - my graduating class had 96 - someone had to do it.
So here I am in all my "arrogant" glory - at least I could play along with it:
Oh well- here is my adorable baby Senior picture.  1992 baby.
{4} What latest trend simply baffles you?
I am going to admit to you all that I just spent 10 minutes googling "crazy fashion trend of 2011" because I can't think of a thing.  So lame.  I honestly don't see much that bugs me in terms of fashion - I love that people have their own looks they like to pull off.

I will forever be bother by the stupid low slung pants where you can see underwear sticking out - that is so annoying to me - it's disrespectful for you to think I want to see your Big Boy Undies.......

{5} When you walk into a room how do you present yourself? Do you walk in with confidence and command the attention of others or do you slink in and do your best to go unnoticed?
As my mom - she'll tell ya - I was born with confidence - no problem walking into a room with my head held high - I'm not a snob about it - I just am very comfortable in my own skin.

Want to Know Wednesday 4.20

3 Fun Friends are asking some serious questions to get us through the Wednesday Hump:

The theme of the Q&A this week is Friendship:

{1} Do you make friends easily?
Yeah- I do -  going to 13 different schools by the time I had graduated, you get pretty accustomed at putting yourself out there and making new friends. I like to have lots of friends - in different circles of my life.

{2} What 3 qualities are a must in a friend?
A Good Sense of Humor- cause who doesn't like to laugh and have a good time?
Straight Talk - It is so important to me to have friends that can speak their mind.  Please don't skirt an issue or lie just because you think it may hurt my feelings - true friends can speak honestly to one another and will still be friends!
Trustworthy - that is so hard to find in this digital age we live in - so many people like to talk and have so many ways to do it now.  However, if I am confiding in you (which I do, I'm pretty open), I expect that you will respect our friendship and not discuss my business with any one else.

{3} What makes you a good friend?
I truly care about you, your family, your life....I want to know more about you and how I can help you.  I will be there for you! :))

{4} Have you ever met a bloggy friend in real life?
Yes I have - In December of 2009, I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn from Seriously.  We were at The World and she drove over to meet me.  It was so fun to meet in person - I think we were both a little nervous - but with a little help with our friend (Mr. Patron) and a mutual desire to run into some VIP college football quarterbacks, we had so much fun!
Also, this past summer, I met Tanya from Miller Racing Family.  She and her sweet kids met us for lunch as we were driving through their great state of Missouri.  The cool thing? It was as if we had been meeting for lunch for years - we just picked up the conversation where our blogs left off.

{5} Who is your best friend? Tell us about them.
Best Friend is so cryptic for me.  I have so many amazing friends in my life, from so many different circles who have all touched me in one way or another.
When I was working, I had such a great network of amazing friends.  Many whom helped me succeed in my career and we are still close to this day.  So many great memories of these friends.....
Though we live far apart, I am close to family as well.  I didn't grow up with sisters, so I don't know what that is like.  But when I joined Matt's family, his sisters became close friends of mine - we still always have a great time when we are together. So many great laughs with these friends....
I make friends in all the social circles I can.....PTA, Bunco, Boot Camp,  or the occasional wine book club.  So many great bottles of wine/book discussions with these friends....
Friends can be made in all sorts of situations...like training for and running a 10K together.  Nothing says "love" like when you are huffing and puffing through mile 5 together.  So many miles with these friends....
I do have a friend that will always be in life no matter where I may live.  Christie came into my life right when God knew I needed a good Christian mom & friend to learn from.  Our families were inseparable for years, and though we live 3 hours apart, not a day goes by that I don't think of her.   And there is never any hesitation in our conversations, never any doubt in our friendship.  Love this friend....
But truly, I married my best friend.  A best friend to me is someone I want to spend forever with - and that we will!  He makes me laugh, he and I have excellent "straight talk" (sometimes too straight), and I completely trust him with my heart.  Love this best friend....

I really do have lots of friends - friends who I can borrow an egg from, friends who I can be honest with, friends I can go to needing advice, & friends who would help me with my kids in a heartbeat.

I am so very blessed as God has richly filled my life with friends.

I hope he has with yours too.
