Hi friends.  Did you all know I was in sales?  And no matter how I try to quiet that saleswoman inside me with dinner menus, homework, laundry, and countless repeats of Twinkle, Twinkle, it simply won't disappear.

Which is why I juggle and can't stop.

Seriously. I can't.

Currently, I have a few balls in the air.........

I am a momma of three. (that carries a dozen balls in itself).

I am the PTA President of my children's school.

I started a DVD Photo Slideshow business called Darling Memories 2 years ago.  I make awesome movies out of your pictures for all events like birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, vacations, etc.

I created a Family Travel blog called R We There Yet Mom? that features travel stories and travel tips submitted by family travel experts....you.

And I am a Thirty-One Consultant.  Thirty-One has awesome totes, purses, and organizational ideas that are adorable.  I just saw our spring catalog this past weekend and it's so CUTE.  Never heard of Thirty-One?  Take a moment and look......

So, am I looking for a pat on the back?  A "how do you do it?? You are awesome!"

I am renewing my energy into these endeavors in a effort to make them successful (and provide a little income for our family.) and would LOVE your help.  I simply can't sit still.  I get a great deal of enjoyment working on and promoting the various brands I have created.

Shameless promotion?  You may think so, but I see it as a fun lady (me) sharing all these unique and great ideas with her girlfriends (you).  I mean, if you found the recipe for an amazing chocolate cake or a great deal on shoes, you wouldn't hesitate to share it, right?

This past summer, I created a family travel blog to highlight one of the things I enjoy most....family travel.  It features family travel stories and tips from my readers.  I really enjoy sharing other families travel with everyone and am always looking for YOUR travel stories.  If you have posted a great travel story in the past or want to share a fun adventure from your area (think museums, state parks, etc.), please let me know!  We are always looking for new content.

A Christmas Winner!

Hello friends!  The Holiday Season has officially begun!  It seemed to have begun even earlier this year, as I read several of my friends on facebook had begun decorating over this past weekend!!          Most of you know that in my spare time (ya right!), I like to make DVD photo slideshows with my company, Darling Memories.  I spent the bulk of yesterday making this one.  Gathering the pictures was easy- I took my time finding the right song to evoke the right emotions.  As a mom, looking at pictures of your sweet hubby with your kids is sentimental, but once you pair it with the right song, ugh...the tears start to flow!

A New Look: Darling Memories

            I am so excited to share with you all my new website for my business, Darling Memories:

           If you recall, Darling Memories creates darling DVD photo slideshows for every occasion......80th birthdays, 50th wedding anniversaries, baby's first year of life, wedding rehearsal dinners, graduating high school seniors, family reunions, vacations, and so on.  I have been blessed to have created a few before Christmas and am now attempting to go at it in full force.

          Please take a look at my site, tell me what you think, and keep me in mind if you have any fun occasions coming up.  The best form of "advertising" is word of mouth from friends, so pass my info along to anyone you think might be interested!

Darling Memories- A new Ad-venture!

Almost a year ago, I became unemployed. The company I was working for for the last 11 years laid off 30,000 people and I was one of them. I was devastated for only a short time- I was 5 months pregnant and looking forward to taking time off with my new baby. I knew that it was in God's plan to allow me this time to be a mommy- not only to the baby, but to the older ones as well. My plan was to take the summer off with all 3 of them and then go back to work in the fall.

Well, the fall is here. And I'm still home. And everyday I ask myself if I am doing the right thing. I enjoy working and did not think I would enjoy being home all day. There are days that I struggle with this. It is all encompassing - I think on it all day - "what to do?" I know that staying home with the baby is a blessing that I never had with the other 2 and I should savor every moment. But there is a little creeping fear of $$$ that always invades my thoughts.

So, "what to do?" Do I enjoy being alone all day with no adults to talk to - sometimes. Do I enjoy mopping, cleaning toilets, laundry, cooking dinner- not really (but who does?). Do I enjoy the smiles Bubba Boy gives me ALL DAY LONG- absolutely! Do I enjoy being there for my kids when they get off the bus- Yes I do! So, how do I get the best of both worlds? An income and being at home? Well, I had to get creative.

I have been working on a few ideas to own my own business and have started one of them. I love to make movies on my Mac using pictures and music- a photo slideshow. There is nothing more stirring than seeing the pictures you cherish tell your story. Add in a wonderful heart-stirring song, and there is not a dry eye in the house! I love making movies of my family and in the past year, I started making them for friends.

So, enter "Darling Memories"- I am making photo slideshows for you! For the birth of a baby, the 40th wedding anniversary, the 60th birthday, the best birthday party for your 7 year old, the baptism of your baby, and much more. I love putting these together- there is no better gift to give your parents, your spouse, your kids, or your best friend.

Take a second and visit my site and if you are so inclined, keep me in mind of any of your friends or family would like something like this- maybe a great Christmas present for a spouse or parent? The best form of advertisement is word of mouth!

My hope is that I am busy enough to have fun with this. It allows me to do something I enjoy and be home with my children and that is what matters the most. It also allows me to concentrate on some other ideas I have to be able to stay at home- I know that this is God's plan for our lives right now and ultimately trust in him to be successful.
